In the past two years since Assassin’s Creed II was released, the series saw a yearly release starring Italian assassin Ezio Auditore, which included Brotherhood and the upcoming Revelations. Both of them were expansions on the original Ezio storyline, and were more evolutionary than revolutionary in terms of game design.
Hopefully, this will also mean a new age in history to explore, or an adventure starring modern day Desmond Miles, who finally started to engage in his own action sequences in Brotherhood.
Ubisoft promises that the company ”will be communicating more about it in the coming months,” so expect a major announcement after Revelations has had its run in retail.
