Croteam has confirmed that Serious Sam 3: BFE will ship on PC with four-player split screen campaign cooperative and multiplayer versus modes. How will this be done on PC? Players will be able to using a mouse and keyboard for one player, and three gamepads for the others.
Players will be able to play all of the Serious Sam 3 game modes in split screen, including Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Survival, Beast Hunt, among others.
“Serious Sam games are known for frantic campaign coop and multiplayer modes so we wanted to make sure that Serious Sam 3: BFE dials up the chaos even more with local split screen co-op at launch,” said Alen Ladavac, Lead Programmer at developer Croteam. “Serious Sam fans have been very vocal on the Facebook fan page and the forums about split screen modes so we wanted to make sure we exceeded their expectations.”
“These Serious Sam nerds need to get a job and pay for their own copy of Serious Sam 3: BFE. We’re losing a ton of cash on this little split screen feature,” added Devolver CFO Fork Parker. “By the way, do they make split screen adult films? Watching four at once would save me a lot of time in the shower. F–k, don’t print that.”
Serious Sam 3 is due to be released on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 later this Summer.
