A.P.B. had experimented with a pay model that allowed gamers to choose either a monthly subscription or a finite number of hours per payment. The game had some gameplay issues, and despite mixed reviews, never caught on.
RealTime Worlds is best known for developing the first Crackdown game, while Jones worked on the original Grand Theft Auto.
