They want someone to help build their ”future online multiplayer experience” for console and PC. Mass Effect 3 has only just revealed its online component.
”We are working on Mass Effect, one of the industry’s most beloved and acclaimed franchises, as we build our way toward becoming a fully self-sufficient BioWare studio,” blurbs the job post description on Games Jobs Direct.
”BioWare is about to change the RPG world—again. We’re seeking a highly skilled and passionate software developer to build our future online multiplayer experience for both PC and consoles.” They want someone who knows Xbox Live and PSN.
”As an online programmer, you will be responsible for integrating and implementing core online components on multiple hardware platforms,” reads the overview.
”The ideal candidate has a keen understanding of multiplayer architectures, database systems, redundancy, robustness, scalability, latency, cheating, error handling and is familiar with both PS3 and Xbox 360 hardware and online services (PSN, Xbox Live).”
Is this job position just for Mass Effect 3, or are BioWare already cooking up something else RPG with a dash of multiplayer component? Where’s Jade Empire 2, guys?
