For starters, SSX will include a ghost racing feature in which players can post their personal best racing times anywhere on the game’s mountain ranges, and race their friends’ ghosts. If players beat their friends’ ghosts or their friends lose to their ghost, they earn money. Global events will support up to an astounding 100,000 players live at once, playing customizable events that can be set up by players.
SSX will also feature Ridernet, which is similar to the Autolog powered online play seen in last year’s Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Ridernet will allow gamers to “like” their favorite drops, and the game will in turn reccomend new drops to try. The game will also keep the player informed on how the player’s friends are performing in the game at all times.
EA has promised a new pre-alpha gameplay trailer at the official site here, but it has not yet been posted.
