Sega, it seems, is intent on exploiting its massive catalog of games, especially those released on the Dreamcast, as the Aussie classification board has rated a remake of Daytona USA with a “G” (general audience). Sega has already released Sega Rally, Crazy Taxi, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage recently.
Daytona USA was originally released in 1993 as a coin-op arcade game, sort of a companion to Cruisin’. The game would later be released on the Sega Saturn and was one of the first Dreamcast games to exploit online gameplay.
The game is listed as “multiplatform”, so it’s safe to assume that the game will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at the least.
