The Prestige Editions of the Call of Duty games have included some pretty wild content. For Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the Prestige Edition included night vision goggles, while Black Ops packed in a remote control car outfitted with a spy camera.
Modern Warfare 2’s night goggles.However, while there will be a Hardened Edition for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, there will be no Prestige Edition. This was revealed in an exchange of tweets between a fan and FourZeroTwo’s Robert Bowling.
When asked “is there allready news about the prestige edition for mw3?”, Bowling tweeted in response, ”There is no Prestige Edition, only a Hardened Edition for #MW3.”
It’s sort of a pity, because it would have been interesting to see what kind of device would have been included in a Prestige Edition for Modern Warfare 3.
