WinRumors claims that Microsoft insiders have told them that the Xbox Live social hub Avatar Kinect will be making its debut on July 27, and that will be free as a part of FunLabs, which was announced at E3.
Avatar Kinect allows gamers to meet up on Live as their Avatar in a virtual setting. The Kinect software has improved to the degree that smiles, laughs and other facial expressions are recognizable by Kinect, and reproduced on the user’s Avatar.
Even more useful, Avatar Kinect sessions can be live-streamed on Facebook and other sites, and recorded as a video podcast.
