CD Projekt’s Tomasz Gop has ridden to the defence of The Witcher 2 dispelling the notion it’s been ‘consolised’ to appeal more broadly - that’s rubbish.
Gamers can still switch between fast and heavy modes in combat and controllers are supported. The Witcher 2 releases exclusively on PC May 17th.
So far the studio hasn’t confirmed any console versions for The Witcher 2 but they are keen on delivering their RPG masterpiece to Xbox 360 and PS3 eventually. “The combat has absolutely not been dumbed down,” Gop said, “nor has the game been consolised.”
CD Projekt will be selling The Witcher 2 through GOG.com with no DRM attached to the game whatsoever, issuing a challenge to the PC community to prove that the masses aren’t just freeloading under the guise of ‘rebelling against DRM’.
