Allowing these free-to-play titles roam on Xbox 360 opens the MMO doors. The corporate giant is speaking with developers on how to approach it.
It comes in response to the growing power base of casual and mobile gaming like that of Zynga who has championed free-to-play titles in a multi-million dollar enterprise. Microsoft also want their Live service doing better on PC and mobile devices.
MMO titles could finally get their foot in the door with Xbox 360 as many are embracing free-to-play models as monthly subscriptions just aren’t pulling in revenue. Recently Valve announced that Team Fortress 2 has become a free-to-play multiplayer shooter.
