The Black Ops Hardened Edition came with a medal, an Avatar outfit, and bonus co-op maps, while the Modern Wafare 2 Hardened Edition contained an art book as well as a download voucher for the original Call of Duty. Both cost $79.99 USD when released, while an even more expensive Prestige version of each game not only cost more ($149.99), but included high-tech gizmos with each (RC car with a video camera in Black Ops, and night vision goggles with Modern Warfare 2).
Bowling stated that the contents of this years Hardened and Prestige Editions will be announced at Call of Duty XP, the new convention debuting this year in Los Angeles this September.
