PAX 2011: Dead Rising: Off the Record to have sandbox mode

Capcom has listened to fans, and the most requested feature for Dead Rising will be in Dead Rising 2: Off the Record: a sandbox mode that’ll allow players to enjoy zombie slaying without worrying about a clock.

Not that the three sandbox levels, “Rumble in the Jungle”, “Chop Suey” and “Silver Strip Smackdown”, won’t have their own challenges, with leaderboards to boot. The sandbox mode will be available for both single and co-op multiplayer.

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will be released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in North America on October 11 and October 14 everywhere else.
