There's maximum rage over at Crytek offices and they're channelling it into ways to "permanently remove exploits" from Crysis 2 to purge cheaters. They will "penalize those individuals" caught and pledge to keep Crysis 2's integrity "intact and cheat-free." A series of updates will eliminate this menace. The first PC patch removed auto-aim after fans railed against its inclusion and also added a cheat detection system in the game. "We do take cheating very seriously here at Crytek," said the studio. This is maximum seriousness. "We are currently taking steps to permanently remove exploits from Crysis 2 and to penalize those individuals that choose to utilize them," they continued. "We thank you for your patience and want to ensure you that we will continue to work hard to keep the integrity of Crysis 2 intact and cheat-free." Fixes will be released in the coming weeks weaning out the exploits and their dirty users. Apparently we can expect DirectX 11 sometime in the next 2 to 3 months. |
