Wargaming.net has announced that the developer has received over 100,000 requests for its global alpha test of World of Warplanes in the first 24 hours of registration. Registration had opened on the 23rd February.
”The player demand to participate in the alpha testing is impressive; it’s a lot greater than we had anticipated. I’d like to congratulate and welcome our first five thousand alpha test pilots and hope they enjoy the incredible flight experience. And, of course, we encourage others to apply - we have many more invitations to give away,” stated producer Anton Sitnikau.
World of Warplanes is Wargaming.net’s aerial version of their popular World of Tanks, and will feature several different eras of planes, from the 1930s biplanes through to the Korean War era jet fighters. Players can choose from three main warplane classes: single-engine light fighters for close dogfights, heavy fighters for straight attacks, and air-to-ground attack planes.
Players will have access to multiple variations of weapons and ammo types, engines, and other modules., choosing various combinations will allow players to pick the best configurations for combat.
Players may still apply to engage in the alpha test by registering at the official site here.
