Sony’s new PlayStation 3 “Super Slim” SKU arrived in the UK last week, and predictably, it boosted sales of the console for the week.
PS3 sales went up 138% for the week ending the 28th September, according to UKIE and GfK Chart-Track data, despite there being no price cut to the older PS3 models. The 500GB “Super Slim” accounted for 37% of PS3 sales in 48 hours.
It’ll be interesting to see how much interest stays with the new SKU.
