Bungie started a hip-cool trend when it began offering fans of Halo some serious stat-tracking numbers to crunch but now that’s all come to a close for the developer - they’re moving on.
Before they ride off into the sunset though they’ve put together a tributary set of infographics to commemorate the ”mountain of heroic moments” fans provided the community.
There have been close to 21 billion games played since stat-tracking began in late 2004. That’s 5.4 bn from Halo 2, 11.5bn from Halo3/ODST and 3.9 bn attributed to Halo: Reach.
How many player-related kills have there been? 136 billion, with 43bn being assisted. According to Bungie’s research there have only ever been 108 billion people that have ever lived on the Earth. Below are the inforgraphics released by Bungie, who now work on a new sci-fi IP for Activision. Can pure mathematics become a work of art? Sure they can!
