Sega has announced that the PC version of their popular action-MMORPG Phantasy Star Online 2 is going live on the 4th July in Japan at 2:00PM JST. The game will be free to play, and is funded by microtransactions.
Sega revealed that the Phantasy Star Online 2 Premium Package will be released on the 13th September. It will cost 6,279 yen ($79 USD) and will include a game install disc, along with codes for a set of five original weapons, and a device that will evolve a player’s in-game Mag companion faster than usual.
The Phantasy Star Online 2 beta had reached 80,000 players.
