The re-release of Final Fantasy VII on PC in the US over the weekend was a mistake, informs a company dealing with the trouble. Its SecuROM DRM failed to authenticate the copies. This is because the Final Fantasy VII re-launch isn't actually ready yet, they continued. A number of fans snapped up the HD FFVII for $12.50 only to find it wasn't working. It apparently went on sale and was downloadable for a small window of time in the US. Square Enix is expected to issue a statement on the slip-up at some point. |
