Some possible workarounds have been suggested until their technical team patch the problem. The reason there’s no hotfix is because the issue is ”so varied” with ”any number of factors” at play.
It seems to dramatically drop game performance for some users entering a cave for example to abysmal framerates. Turning off some settings are advised, like shadows.

Close any and all applications running in the background.

Turn down the in-game graphic settings.

Change the settings to favour performance over quality if you are using a third party graphic - management software.

Turning off “bloom” in the graphic options in game.
