Report: Microsoft alter Xbox Live Arcade's gamerscore limit, capping at 400

Soon to be gone are the days when your Xbox Live Arcade title purchases stifled your meteoric rise in gamerscore. Microsoft will be enforcing new rules where 400 is the new 200.

All XBLA titles from June 1st must have 400 gamerscore points earnable by default, with 100 more available per quarter via DLC and up to 8 achievements. The total cap will become 800.

It’s gonna be a bold new world. Those releasing through Aprils 1st to May 31st can choose either the current or new system, says the report. Rules are mandatory.
