Microsoft has excused the additional $100 price tag, bringing the motion camera to $250, as being suitable for its primary intended market. That would be companies, not gamers.
Included in the Kinect for PC package are development tools to aid in creating software. Also confirmed is Microsoft’s presence at E3 this year - which wasn’t really in doubt.
It was during CES that Microsoft officially dated and priced Kinect for PC, which is due to release February 1st retailing at $250. Will PC games start their own motion trend now?
It’s a curious excuse for sure as the Kinect for PC development tools have been free for quite some time, but now a cost has been attributed to them? This additional $100 is sounding pretty opportunistic to this, humble video game consumer. Hopefully we’ll see some companies do amazing things with the tech, not to mention some indie outfits.
