Sonic fans will be disappointed to learn that Sega has no plans for more Sonic the Hedgehog 4 episodes. After Episode 2, there will be no more.
According to Sonic Team producer Takashi Iizuka, ”We are looking forward to hearing the feedback from the users for Episode 2, but we are currently not planning to release another episode. We just want to see how the users accept this episode.”
Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1 was released on the 13th October 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and earned generally favorable reviews, though Strategy Informer panned it with a 4.0/10 score in its review. Episode 2 is due to be released later this year.
