Rumour has it that Sony will unveil this new bit of slimmer kit at Gamescom next month in Cologne, Germany. 16GB, 250GB and 500GB variants are believed to be in the works.
It seems the top of the new SKU has a ridged surface, coupled with some shiny borders at the back and front. Will Xbox respond by slimming down some more too?
