Batman: Arkham City won the Best Action Game title at BAFTA Awards, and developer Rocksteady is promising something “exciting” whatever their next project will turn out to be.
According to game director Sefton Hill, “We have lots of exciting ideas about what we want to do next.”
”It’s kind of interesting,” he then added, “When you come to the end, you feel like you’ve put everything in; it’s really convergent, the end of the game. And then when you start a new game it’s diverging, and everything becomes possible again.
Sefton then stated that the developer has too many good ideas, admitting, “Immediately we sat down and thought right, what do we do next? And there were so many exciting ideas on the table.”
Rocksteady is not ruling out another Batman game, either, as Sefton revealed that after Arkham City was released, the group still had good ideas on how to improve the game. “If you could press CTRL+ALT+DEL in my brain, it would be 90% Batman at any given time,” Sefton joked, ”It sort of means that I can’t function in any other social capacity other than to talk about Batman.”
Batman:Arkham City was released last October 2011 to rave reviews, including a rare 10/10 score from Strategy Informer in its review.
