Hideo Kojima teased his upcoming project during his Q&A after the induction of his most famous IP, Metal Gear Solid, to the Smithsonian’s “Art of Video Games” exhibit.
According to Kojima, ”The game I’m working on right now is dealing with quite a few issues that are pretty delicate and taboo. I’m not sure if they’ll end up being in the final product or not, but that’s something that I want to continue to strive for.”
He added that it was his goal to ”bring those real-life issues to the forefront.” What those issues were he did not elaborate, but he also mentioned he was going to visit a military base in San Diego to test a shooting simulator. Again, he couldn’t elaborate on the purpose of his trip.
The only thing known about Kojima’s secret project is that it is nicknamed “Project Ogre”, it’ll use the FOX Engine, and a single screenshot has been released for it.
“Project Ogre”.
