Microsoft’s Q2 financials report that an impressive 8.2 million consoles of the Xbox 360 variety sold, with the Entertainment & Devices Division seeing revenue of $4.24bn (£2.73bn).
That’s a healthy 15 percent over the same period in 2010, which clocked at $3.69bn (£2.38bn). Microsoft reveal a net profit of $6.624bn (£4.276bn) - now there’s a bank statement.
Earlier at CES this year Microsoft dropped news that Xbox 360 has now surpassed 66 million sales around this globe of ours, with 40 million connected to its Xbox Live service.
