Remedy Entertainment has announced that the PC version of Alan Wake will be hitting in February, and, more shockingly, will be published on Steam and won\'t be released on Games for Windows Live.
According to the developer in a Q&A, \"Games for Windows Live will not be used; we will be fully supporting the Steam platform.\"
Alan Wake PC will feature the DLC released for the Xbox 360 version, \"The Signal\" and \"The Writer\". The game will also support use of the Xbox 360 controller as well.
On the down side, there will be no demo and there won\'t be any mod tools because, according to Remedy, they \"are a lot more complex than they were with the Max Payne games, and are based on many 3rd party commercial tools.\"
The original Alan Wake was released on the Xbox 360 in May 2010, and earned an 8.8/10 score in Strategy Informer\'s review.
