The features include comprehensive stat tracking which will track enemies killed, weapons used and medals earned, among other stats, as well as the ability to link their status with Facebook and Twitter. Players can receive alerts when their score has been beaten through their iOS and Android devices, not just their PC.
Players can also exchange points for cool items including additional Mercenaries costumes or figures to place in the player's own Resident Evil diorama.
ResidentEvil.net will also run regular organised events such as co-op "horde" modes and high scoring Mercenaries modes. There will also be "Champion Belt" ranked events, where players can vie for the Champion's Belt, of which only one player may own at any time.
ResidentEvil.net will launch on the same day as Resident Evil 6's release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the 2nd October. The PC version will be released at a later date.
