The employees of troubled developer of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning have not been paid since the 1st May, and worst, their health insurance will be expiring on Friday, according to an unnamed inside source.
When the source asked if the developer was shutting down, the reply was brief and uncertain, "Unknown at this time. Outlook is not good."
The developer had already released its contractors and temp workers, along with some key staff. While Rhode Island governor Lincoln Chafee stated the developer's MMO Project Copernicus would be arriving on time in June 2013, the source stated on the subject, "Whether this is realistic or not is up for debate."
Stay tuned.
