Konami has announced a new Kinect dance game for Xbox Live Arcade that doesn’t require the player to match their online avatar’s dance steps. Instead, all Rhythm Party requires is that you can dance to the beat, which is more in common with Fruit Ninja and Boom Boom Rocket than Dance Central.
The publisher calls the freestyle dancing “open format dancing”, where player’s silhouette is shown on screen in psychedelic backgrounds. Dances are rated as they coincide with performance ‘ripples’ on screen, with points and bonuses awarded that bolster the player’s score. The background grooves alongside the player’s actions.
The songs that will be included with the game are:
* Born This Way (Lady Gaga)
-
Every Little Step (Bobby Brown)
-
Y.M.C.A. (Village People)
-
A Midnight Rendezvous (Shanice)
-
Still unbreakable (Des-ROW Ft. Vanilla Ice)
-
SAY A PRAYER (Des-ROW Ft. Maxi Priest)
-
BEFREE (Des-ROW Ft. Vanilla Ice)
-
Summer Fairytale (Design-MAD crew)
-
HEARTBREAK Sound Selektaz remix (NAOKI feat. Becca Hossany)
-
All Thu The Night (jun feat. Lisa Lisa)
Rhythm Party will cost 800 Microsoft Points and, of course, requires the Kinect sensor.
