According to the Gamasutra ad, aside from the usual experience like "6+ years as a game designer in the video game industry", "4+ years of experience managing direct reports", and having "shipped a minimum of 3 game titles from pre-production through ship", another requirement is that the applicant have "credit on at least one game with an 85+ Average Meta Critic Review Score."
Essentially, game critics are being given more responsibility for affecting development, such as Bethesda refusing to give developer Obsidian Entertainment their bonuses because they received an 84 Metacritic instead of 85.
In essence, a reviewer hedging between an 8.0 and an 8.5 might have cost developers millions of dollars - and now it may affect the hire-ability of developer looking for work.
