The DLC will be released on a weekly basis, and will include in-game events, challenges, Avatar items for Xbox 360 and PlayStation Home Avatars, dynamic dashboard themes, behind-the-scenes videos, and, most importantly, bonus Mutations for the single player campaign.
A special reward will be granted to players who faithfully participate in every weekly challenge, with what Radical calls ”the ultimate shape-shifting reward”. The reward will be revealed in March.
”Radical Entertainment has always focused on bringing long lasting fun to its fans, and Prototype 2’s RADNET content is our way of rewarding the game’s most loyal supporters – the early adopters, the one’s who will replay it over and over again. We think this is great because we’re giving our fans hours of additional gameplay outside Prototype 2’s main narrative, and cool rewards – all delivered weekly following the game’s launch!”, promised Radical studio head Ken Rosman.
Radical also announced that the PC version of Prototype 2 has been delayed til the 24th July. No reason was given, though it is reasonable to assume that the developer is devoting its time to finishing the console versions before they finally tackle the PC version.
