A rumor claiming that Bethesda has acquired the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. license has resurfaced, as Ukrainian blogger Sergey Galyonkin claims a ”very reliable source” told him that the studio had bought the IP.
According to the blogger, Bethesda got the rights to the videogame license, while GSC founder Sergei Grigorovich retained the rights to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. books, films, merchandise and ”everything else”.
Bethesda has dismissed the rumor, stating, ”We don’t comment on rumour or speculation.”
