Braid creator Jonathan Blow has posted two new in-game shots of The Witness, and yes you’re officially seeing double. Each image sports a doppelganger which is stereotypical of 3D sorcery.
Most likely Blow is teasing the inclusion of Oculus Rift, the VR headset that’s threatening to take the world by storm. It would go well with the game world of The Witness.
There’s also some speculation it’s an announcement of support for Sony’s 2014 bound VR headsets, which would go well with the PlayStation 4 version.
”The island is an open world; you can go anywhere you want, and the game does not try to force you into a linear path,” Jonathan Blow previously described on the PlayStation Blog.
”For the past couple of years, we have had the island mostly built in a gameplay sense, and we were trying it out, moving things around, developing location concepts, tweaking puzzles. At this point, most of that stuff is figured out, so we are now going through all the areas of the island and detailing them.” What could it mean??
The Witness is in development for PC and PS4.
