We control a "quantum teleport craft," with teleportation used to outsmart foes, solve action puzzles and save survivors. Curve Studios is behind the PC version.
"Bringing Velocity Ultra to the PC is a project we're really proud to be involved with," said Curve Studios' Jason Perkins. They brought Lone Survivor and Thomas Was Alone to PlayStation.
"Vertical shooters are a genre that has traditionally been under-served on the PC - despite a huge demand for interesting, unique shooters on the platform - and Velocity is one of the best ever made." Curve is working closely with original developer FuturLab to ensure it remains faithful to the PlayStation Vita release.
"We're not new to PC development, having released Stealth Bastard Deluxe to critical acclaim last year. We're paying special attention to the little details that make a PC version great, including fully customisable controls and excellent HD graphics running at a smooth 60 FPS," added Perkins.
"We were honestly blown away by the reception of Velocity Ultra when we released it this year, and it's really exciting for us to be releasing the game on the PC, which is a first for our studio!” said FuturLab's James Marsden.
