Interestingly, according to the Kickstarter page of Torment: Tides of Numenera, ”If funding beats $1 million, (Brian Fargo) will instead contribute 10 cents from every $1 pledged from the $1 million to $2 million mark.”
inExile has not made any set stretch goals yet.
”We’re eager to make Torment the best it can be, but we’ll wait to talk about Stretch Goals until after we have reached our target funding. Note that every $ we receive through this Kickstarter (and PayPal) for Torment will be invested into enhancing the game. Please join our community (register with us at tormentRPG.com and then visit torment.uservoice.com) to give us your Stretch Goal ideas and to vote on the ideas of others.
Some planned Stretch Goals include adding more writing talent (including some names you may find familiar), increasing the number of companions, and adding more Mark Morgan music (including some live orchestra pieces).”
They better make some stretch goals quick.
UPDATE: Two stretch goals have been added.
* $1.5 Million: Richer Story – Writer Mur Lafferty and Designer Tony Evans join the Writing Team, plus a Bonus Novella
- $2.0 Million: Monte Cook Writes, more music from Mark Morgan, and Goo Oozes
What is the Goo? “ The Toy is a changing ball of goo: Is it a pet, an abandoned toy, a dangerous weapon? Whatever it is, it responds to the way you treat it by changing its appearance and abilities to reflect what it perceives as your desires. Its ultimate secrets are… well, you’ll have to find out,” states inExile’s update.
