Free currency has been given to current players with plans to make all items free after its last tournament. Petroglyph "reserve the right to bring BFG back" in the future, and it is their hope to do so.
In December of 2012 various employees tweeted news that the studio was forced to make redundancies, which is believed to have been around 30 people.
Trion Worlds took development of Petroglyph's End of Nations in-house shortly after the studio had begun the open beta, ending their involvement. In March this year they attempted a Kickstarter campaign for a strategy title called Victory, but they pulled the plug after 10 days when it managed just $30k of their $700k goal.

Petroglyph Games was founded by former EA Westwood developers. The title they are probably still most known for would be Star Wars: Empire at War which mixed ground and space RTS battles.
