Path of Exile patch live Wednesday, first of seven due before March 2014

Action RPG Path of Exile is on the eve of its first post-launch patch taking the game to v1.0.1. Six other game updates are due before March 2014, which will lead up to the first expansion from Grinding Gears.

A content update video preview has aired showing the impending changes to Path of Exile. Vendors are getting new recipes, but the team want fans to discover new things themselves.

"This is the first of seven biweekly content patches between now and the first expansion in early March 2014," posted Grinding Gears Lead Developer, Chris Wilson.

Full 1.0.1 patch notes will be available tomorrow alongside the update itself. Descent Champions will succeed the original Descent mode with new features. One of the new vendor recipes is a secret that the studio leave up to discover, including the complete effects of a new support gem called Enhance.
