Since Microsoft bought Skype for $8.5 billion two years ago, it makes sense that the publisher would begin its integration into both Microsoft’s PC and next-generation Xbox holdings.
According to an anonymous source, Microsoft is ”consolidating all their communications technology” around Skype, making it the default chat service on Windows-based PCs and tablets as well as the next-gen console. ”You might jump to the conclusion that we’ll see asynchronous voice and video messages in next-gen Xbox Live,” the source added.
