As expected, Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune’s Kickstarter game Mighty No. 9 has hit the $2.2M stretch goal, which unlocks Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and Wii U platform support.
Inafune also marveled at fan support of his new project, stating, ”And as if all that generosity wasn’t enough, we continue to be completely blown away by the amount and quality of amazing, amazing fan art, videos, songs and other support of all kinds coming out of our community! Just take a look at this:”
The next stretch goal is at $2.4M, which adds a Challenge Mode. “Similar to the Challenge Modes in games like New Super Mario Bros. U, this special extra mode would remix parts of existing levels and enemies to create dozens of mini-missions you can use to test your skills in a variety of enjoyably frustrating ways!” describes Inafune.
Mighty No. 9 still has two weeks of funding left.
