Pistol and musket fire get a serious upgrade in visual flare, as well as smoke bombs and chimney trails. Those smoky clouds now hang around longer and react to disturbances.
Low and High settings have been optionally included with Black Flag courtesy of a 700 MB patch that pulled into port recently, alongside the new Freedom Cry campaign.
”Turbulence and particle effects combine to create a volumetric smoke which can be seen in pistol and musket fire, smoke bombs and chimney smoke,” describe Nvidia, of the new inclusion of the APEX Particles and Turbulence system. ”The smoke, lingers longer, has more volume, and interacts with the character and the elements, such and wind and rain. As the intensity of the weather varies, so does the interaction with the smoke.”
