Heists will be a main draw for those looking to join the GTA Online community, which will no doubt shell out some serious dough. You could also micro-transact to riches.
Snoopers have given the official Rockstar Games website a serious molesting and found a rather interesting, publically viewable XML file. What treasures lie in wait?
Apparently Rockstar intends to offer in-game fun money for real world green. ‘Cash Card’ deposits of $100k, $200k, $500k and $1,250K are set to be offered via micro-transactions. No actual price has been attributed these cash deposits yet but also mentioned in the XML are Special Edition and Collector’s Edition content.
Red Shark Cash Card - $100,000
Tiger Shark Cash Card - $200,000
Bull Shark Cash Card - $500,000
Great White Shark Cash Card - $1,250,000
”Cash is king in this town,” reads the XML for each card. ”Solve your money problems and help get what you want across Los Santos and Blaine County with the purchase of cash packs for Grand Theft Auto Online. All purchased cash is automatically deposited into your character’s bank account. Spend wisely, cash therapy is fleeting.”
The sale of Special Edition and Collector’s Edition content through Rockstar’s GTA Online storefront is a little surprising at this stage, and it may upset those who spent all that extra real world cash; the CE included a rather swanky garage that acts as a showroom for your car collection. Keys to the Atomic Blimp are also listed.
The publically viewable XML was spotted by Reddit.
