Uber Entertainment’s sci-fi RTS Planetary Annihilation is now officially in beta. Finally that elusive ‘strap rockets to everything’ technology is ours! Those who pledged for the beta will now get client access.
Those already in the alpha program will have their game client updated. Fans can now start ”waging war on an interplanetary scale.” Uber warn this is definitely not a ‘final’ product.
The team has been ”crunching super hard” on achieving this beta milestone, which opens up a lot more game mechanics. No more being stuck on just one planet.
”Enjoy strapping rockets to asteroids and sending them on a crash course into the planets. Enjoy orbital weapons and surveillance. Enjoy launching tanks, bots, and other vehicles onto celestial bodies. Enjoy waging war on an interplanetary scale,” posted Uber on their Kickstarter update.
”Your input is very important to us, which is why we’re rolling out the game in beta. If you have a comment or question or noticed a bug, swing by the PA message boards. We’re good at answering questions in there. Our community is also extremely helpful, too.” The PA community forum can be reached here.
”So, what’s next? We’ll continue to make your experience as best as possible. Also, Galactic War, in-game community-related features, better modding support, and a mod marketplace are all on deck. And, actually, if you’re into modding, swing by our modding board right now – it’s full of great creators.”
Planetary Annihilation is available via Steam Early Access or the Uber Entertainment store.
