The egg was found in the Team Fortress 2 update to the game, a note taped to an object which said in Korean ”The time is”. Dots seemed to refer to planets within the solar system. Gamers jumped on this as a reference to the original Half-Life, with the first words spoken in it ”The time is 8:47 a.m.” by the feminine loudspeaker voice.
Bossa Studios put an end to that speculation on Twitter, stating, ”Whoa! It seems that you’ve got a little ahead of yourselves! Here’s a clue: THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ANY VALVE GAMES! Carry on now…”
The previous rumor about Half-Life 3 involved Steambox, but that turned out to be a hoax, it seems.
