The watch words for indie Wicked Loot’s Spark Rising are ‘Build. Battle. Conquer.’ as mechs, dinos and the undead commence mighty battles in our name using the very twisted things we’ve created for them.
It’s a third-person action game ”infused with strategy, and sandbox creation.” We design immense fortresses, defences and troops to send off to war. A prototype demo is available.
Their battle mechanic is ”inspired” by the campaign mode from Star Wars: Battlefront 2, meaning it opens up to an eventual ”4X take-over-the-galaxy endeavour”.
Apparently they even support importing your creations from Minecraft and Qubicle, given that they all share a love of voxel-based reality. Spark Rising is in development for PC and Mac with indie Wicked Loot asking for $17,000. They’ve got less than 60 hours to go and are at just over $11,600 as of press time.
