EA’s Origin twitter account has announced that pre-loading has begun for DICE’s imminent multiplayer beta for Battlefield 4. The shooter will launch with 10 maps and seven game modes later this month.
The beta features the Siege of Shanghai, which was teased in trailers and gameplay videos. Two of the seven total modes will be available to beta testers. DICE revealed two new modes.
Obliteration and Defuse are the new kids on the block. Battlefield 4 releases on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 October 29th in the US, November 1st in EU.
Battlefield 3 Premium members gain access to the multiplayer beta from tomorrow on PC and console, while the rest must wait until October 4th. DICE has already released the PC system requirements for Battlefield 4. DICE’s Karl Magnus Troedsson has announced the beta is for 64-bit OS only. Pre-loads begin at 10:00am PDT/5:00pm GMT.
