Banjo-Kazooie’s original composer, Grant Kirkhope, is ‘never ceased to be amazed’ by how many still listen to music from the Banjo series today, ”it really is very humbling.”
Previously the Synthetic Orchestra has released the well-received ‘Super Metroid Symphony’ back in March. Now they offer 30 tracks with the ‘Banjo-Kazooie Symphony’.
”It never ceases to amaze me how many people still listen to the music from the Banjo games after all these years, it really is very humbling,” said Kirkhope. ”I have to say that I’m really honoured that Blake has taken the time and effort to take those old rough sounding tunes and turn them into something that I think is fantastic… I hope you’ll all agree.”
The album features ”orchestral interpretations” of the game’s music featured in each area of Banjo-Kazooie, ”as well as a selection of extra motifs, melodies & music heard throughout the original title.”
The album is available DRM free in MP3 and FLAC format from Loudr and iTunes. The album’s official website features previews of each track and a foreword by original composer Kirkhope.
