Developer Le Cartel have released a pre-alpha video for their gory, side-scrolling street brawler Mother Russia Bleeds. Set in 1980s USSR, the game pays homage to the brutal 2D beat-em-ups of the 1990s, such as Streets of Rage.
You can find more information on the game's, but there's relatively little there about the plot of the game apart from the following short blurb.
"Set in an alternate 1980s USSR, the story focuses on an imprisoned antihero with a crippling drug addiction as he breaks free and barrels down a journey of hate-filled vengeance."
Sounds cheery. And more than a little like Hotline Miami. Mother Russia Bleeds is coming to PC, Mac and Linux in 2015.
