Bethesda continues to play release date ping pong with its survival horror The Evil Within - after originally being planned for August, the European date was pushed back to October 21 at QuakeCon last month.
Now its been shifted forward to October 14, meaning horror fans across North America and Europe will be able to get hacked to pieces by nameless horrors on the exact same date.
Bethesda confirmed the news in a blog post which also reminded players that pre-ordering the game would net them the Fighting Chance Pack, which earns them a double-barrel shotgun, an extra green gel (used when leveling up), a medical kit and two special crossbow bolts. "From experience, I can tell you the game can be quite challenging, so taking any extra gear will help," says Bethesda. But then they would, wouldn't they?
So The Evil Within now hits both North America and Europe this October 14. Other regional dates remain the same: October 16 in Australia, 17 in New Zealand, and 23 in Japan.
