Capcom has officially announced that Resident Evil HD will be remastered for the PC digitally across Europe and North America in Early 2015.
Originally remade in 2002 exclusively for the GameCube, Resident Evil will return to PC and next-generation platforms in this definitive re-visit using the latest resolution enhancement and 3D model technology.
The game’s resolutions and textures have been significantly upgraded says Capcom, including 1080p support on next-gen consoles, resulting in much improved characters and backgrounds models.
Also, this is something that we missed with the GameCube version, but I’m personally very happy to report that the remaster will support 5.1 surround sound to enjoy the atmosphere that this game generates. There’s more options on the resolution front too, with a 4:3 ratio mode or 16:9 widescreen.
